21 Nov Arrival of the B737-400F to the Astral family
On Thursday 21st November 2024 at 1300, Astral Aviation welcomed the arrival of its Boeing 737-400F which has been leased from Avmax Group.
MSN 27082 has been registered as 5Y-JSK on Astral Aviation’s AoC. (“JSK” is an auspicious phrase used by Hindu’s to praise Lord Krishna and stands for “Jay Shree Krishna”)
The B737-400F replaces the DC9F which was an important part of Astral’s fleet from 2009-2024 and has since been retired.
The B737-400F will soon operate on Astral Aviation’s scheduled and charter network from its Nairobi Hub to over 20 destinations in East, Central, Southern, Horn of Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.

Astral Aviation looks forward to acquiring additional B737-400F and B737-800F as a part of its narrow-body fleet renewal plan which will operate from its Nairobi Hub, and enable the airline to meet its sustainability goals which includes a 5% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030.
