15 Jan Extension of the African Growth & Opportunity Act (AGOA)
Astral Aviation Ltd welcomes the recent action by the US House of Representatives to extend the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) for an additional three years, a move that restores duty-free access for eligible African exports to the U.S. market until 31 December 2028.
This extension provides much-needed certainty for African exporters and supports deeper integration of Africa into global supply chains.
AGOA has historically been a core pillar of U.S.–Africa trade relations, opening access for thousands of products — including textiles, agricultural goods, horticulture, and more — into the U.S. market on preferential, tariff-free terms.
Astral Aviation Ltd continues to invest in expanding its cargo fleet and partnerships to support Africa’s growing export needs.
By linking producers and exporters to key global markets — including the United States — we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Africa’s economic integration and growth in a post-AGOA extension era.
